Monday News

Noongom (today) is observed as a federal holiday, but Columbus Day has a troubled meaning in Indian Country. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the issues surrounding this controversial holiday:
This Week @ LLTC:
  • This week is advising week at LLTC. Students, please meet with your faculty advisors to discuss your educational career goals and needed coursework.
  • Chi-Miigwech to Potluck Team #3 for making the meal for Monday Drum and Potluck noongom.
  • The Parents' Study Support Group meets Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6 p.m. in Giizhiikaandag Wigamig (Cedar Hall), in the Benny Tonce Memorial Drum Room 204.
  • Everyone is welcome to the free and fun Zumba sessions led by LLTC Community Education coordinator Amy Erickson on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:15-5:15 p.m. at the Cass Lake-Bena Elementary School gymnasium.
  • An advising help session is scheduled for Aabitoose (Wednesday) at 12 noon in Giizhiikaandag Wigamig's Benny Tonce Memorial Drum Room 204.
  • The STEM Club meets Thursday at 12 noon in Mitigominzh Wigamig (Oak Hall), in Migizi Room 110.
  • Friday is the last day to officially withdraw. Please contact your advisor with any questions as soon as possible.
